Our History

In 2011, after years in the corporate world and earning her MBA in Marketing, Owner & Founder Jenn Cibrone was ready for a new challenge. A mission trip to Costa Rica and a noticeable gap in volleyball apparel sparked an idea. As a lifelong volleyball player, Jenn realized her closet lacked clothing and accessories that celebrated the sport while fitting her style. Research confirmed the demand, and by 2012, Pura Vida Volleyball was born.

In its first year, the brand appeared at three local tournaments in Tampa. Within two years, it expanded into the Northeast, giving Jenn the momentum to pursue the business full time. Over the next eight years, Pura Vida Volleyball grew steadily—working with major influencers and diving into e-commerce with a warehouse and studio.

By 2021, we celebrated our most successful year yet. With that growth came a clear opportunity: to expand beyond volleyball while still honoring the sport that started it all. After nearly a decade of hard work, we evolved our vision—transitioning from a niche volleyball brand into something bigger.

In celebration of our 10th anniversary, we reintroduced ourselves as VidaVibe—an inclusive, active lifestyle brand. In 2011, after years in the corporate world and earning her MBA in Marketing, Owner & Founder Jenn Cibrone was ready for a new challenge. A mission trip to Costa Rica and a noticeable gap in volleyball apparel sparked an idea. As a lifelong volleyball player, Jenn realized her closet lacked clothing and accessories that celebrated the sport while fitting her style. Research confirmed the demand, and by 2012, Pura Vida Volleyball was born.

In its first year, the brand appeared at three local tournaments in Tampa. Within two years, it expanded into the Northeast, giving Jenn the momentum to pursue the business full time. Over the next eight years, Pura Vida Volleyball grew steadily—working with major influencers and diving into e-commerce with a warehouse and studio.

By 2021, we celebrated our most successful year yet. With that growth came a clear opportunity: to expand beyond volleyball while still honoring the sport that started it all. After nearly a decade of hard work, we evolved our vision—transitioning from a niche volleyball brand into something bigger.

In celebration of our 10th anniversary, we reintroduced ourselves as VidaVibe—an inclusive, active lifestyle brand.
