VidaVibe and the Florida Dream Center: Our Mission to Give Back Locally

Our mission at VidaVibe Volleyball is not just about creating a fun and unique apparel line for volleyball lovers and those who enjoy being active. We also want to make an impact and help people in our local community and really all over when we can.

One of the ways that we are able to do this locally is through our partnership with the Florida Dream Center. Through several different ways (as you will see below), we have been able to help out the local community of St. Pete, and we are super proud of what the Dream Center has been able to accomplish!

We don't say all of this to pat ourselves on the back, but we wanted to highlight some opportunities that may encourage you to be able to help out the Florida Dream Center and spread some light on an amazing organization.

But whether you end up inspired to be a part of the Florida Dream Center or another worthy cause, we hope that the VidaVibe brand is always synonymous with giving back and being a part of bettering those around us. Because as the second word of our three-word motto says, we want to LOVE those around us.

About the Florida Dream Center and Its Mission

The Florida Dream Center is more than just a nonprofit organization that provides resources and aid to underprivileged communities; it's a beacon of hope for those who need it most. By fostering stability and promoting self-sufficiency throughout Pinellas County, FLDC is making a real difference in the lives of countless individuals and families every day.

With a mission to inspire self-sufficiency by sharing faith and restoring hope and a vision of an empowered community where neighbors help neighbors, FLDC aims to fill needs and heal hurts wherever they may be found.

Since its founding in 2012, FLDC has partnered with local organizations, government agencies, churches, and schools to increase impact within the areas of poverty, hunger, social economic equality, community revitalization, and gainful employment. Through consistent and accessible programs, FLDC is working with its neighbors to create real change in the world.

How VidaVibe Has Been Able to Help the Florida Dream Center

There have been several ways that we have been fortunate enough to jump in and help the Florida Dream Center out. We have been able to join this fantastic organization in a couple of great ways, and we would love to share what we have been able to accomplish with you.

A Portion of Every VidaVibe Sale Goes to Support the Florida Dream Center

At VidaVibe, we wanted to put our money where our mouth was, which is why we decided that a portion of every sale goes to helping the Florida Dream Center. Whether you purchase a volleyball sweatshirt or a pair of volleyball socks, a portion of your sale will go to helping this amazing organization.

Teamed Up With the Florida Dream Center Print Shop

The Florida Dream Center opened up its own print shop, and we couldn't have been happier! So, one of the ways that we could continue to help them out is by coming alongside them and helping with operations. We were able to offer our know-how and expertise to help them get their print shop up and running and ready to help those in the community.

Volunteering Our Time at the Florida Dream Center

And last but certainly not least, our VidaVibe team has been able to donate our time to the Florida Dream Center. We were able to volunteer on a few occasions. Some of the jobs that we were able to do were packing food boxes for the homeless and then also being able to go out and give the food boxes to those in need.

If you want to help the Florida Dream Center, there are a number of ways that you can get involved. Whether it is financially, donating specific items, or volunteering your time, there are some amazing ways that you can be a part of the Florida Dream Center and make a big difference in your local community!

Donations to the Florida Dream Center

The Florida Dream Center is a non-profit organization that relies on the kindness and generosity of others. If you're looking for a way to make a difference in someone's life, consider making a donation to the Florida Dream Center.

As a 501(c)3 tax-exempt corporation, you can rest assured that your donation will go directly toward helping those in need. You can easily make a one-time donation or set up a monthly donation online.

If you prefer to donate items rather than money, the center is currently in need of the following items.

They are currently taking donations for:

• New Children’s Toys: All ages, unwrapped
• Men’s Shorts/Pants: Sizes 28-36
• Men’s Socks and Boxers: (New only)
• Men’s Shirts: L & XL
• Blankets for our homeless, no heavy quilts, please
• Hygiene: Full size & travel size
• Rain ponchos for our homeless

With your help, the Florida Dream Center can continue to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

Hosting a Drive

Whether it’s food, hygiene items, or toys, every donation helps and is greatly appreciated. The Dream Center will even assist you in organizing the event by providing flyers, collection barrels, and help with picking up and unloading the collected items. Hosting a drive is a great way to give back to your community and help those who may be struggling.

Volunteering Your Time

You can visit the Florida Dream Centers "Get Involved" page for a full breakdown of ways that you can get involved, but here is a quick overview.

• Adopt a Block: Every Saturday, the team goes out into the community and helps those in need.
• Mobile Food Bank: Runs 6 days a week and offers food to those in need around the community.
• Office Assistant: Help out in the office Tuesday through Friday.
• Special/Projects & Holiday Volunteers: Plenty of help is needed around the Holidays.
