What Began as a Mission Became a Movement

Sometimes the most beautiful stories begin with a single step of faith.

In June 2026, my husband, Sam—a volleyball coach—our two children, and I traveled to the Dominican Republic on our first family mission trip with our school and other families through DR Vision.

Throughout the week, we served local communities in many different ways, including through one of our family’s greatest passions: teaching volleyball. We witnessed incredible faith, inspiring resilience, and the power of serving others together.

At the very same time, back home, VidaVibe was celebrating the launch of our Play with Purpose faith-based volleyball collection. Our hope was simple: to encourage athletes to live out their faith on and off the court.

What we didn’t expect was the overwhelming response. It quickly became one of the biggest and most impactful launches in VidaVibe’s history.

While serving in the Dominican Republic, we were introduced to Mercy Workshop, an incredible organization dedicated to creating purpose-filled employment for women rebuilding their lives through faith, hope, purpose, and dignified work.

Their mission immediately resonated with me, and I couldn’t help but imagine how our two worlds might come together.

As we learned more about Mercy Workshop, founder Allison Hale shared that one of their biggest prayers was for partnerships and opportunities that would create more work for the women they serve.

In that moment, two stories came together.

I shared how VidaVibe’s newly launched Play with Purpose collection was encouraging athletes to live out their faith on and off the court. Allison shared Mercy Workshop’s mission of creating hope through dignified employment for women in the Dominican Republic.

It felt meant to be.

Although our organizations served in different ways, our hearts were remarkably aligned. We were both using our unique gifts to encourage others, strengthen communities, and share faith through purpose-filled work.

What started as a conversation quickly became a shared vision.

Before we even left the Dominican Republic, ideas were already taking shape.

Together, Allison and I began envisioning a collection that blended volleyball, faith, handcrafted artistry, and purpose—a collection designed to inspire every person who wears it and empower every woman who creates it.

It didn’t feel like coincidence.

It felt like purpose.

Today, that shared vision is coming to life.
